Taryn Barker

Mrs. Taryn Barker graduated from San Jose University with a BA in Art with a Concentration in Studio Practice and an Emphasis in Photography.  She worked for three years in the Moreland School District.  Mrs. Barker has also taught as a first-grade teacher and resource aid, was the Yearbook Coordinator at Baker, and has spent many years working with youth ministry, Sunday school, and coaching. It is important to her that every student feels successful by helping them foster a love of reading.  She is a San Jose native and loves hiking and camping with her family.  Mrs. Barker was born into a legacy of Christian faith with ancestry that came to the United States seeking religious freedom.  She grew up going to church every Sunday and asked Jesus to be her Savior in her youth.  She strives to serve Jesus every day and looks forward to sharing her love for our Savior at CCS.
