At Campbell Christian Schools, we are deeply committed to developing a sense of service and responsibility in our students. Throughout the year, we provide numerous opportunities for students to actively engage in service projects that impact both local and global communities.
Our goal is to nurture compassionate leaders who live out their faith by serving others. While specific programs vary year to year, they consistently include a balanced mix of local involvement and international outreach.
In partnership with the Campbell Church of Christ, CCS supports the Made in the Streets Ministry, an outreach based in Nairobi, Kenya. This ministry rescues young children living on the streets by providing food, shelter, Bible instruction, and education. Graduates are equipped with the skills needed for employment and a productive life.
Our students take pride in assisting this ministry through fundraising efforts that have helped purchase school desks, uniforms, playground equipment, supplies, and even farm animals, making a tangible difference in the lives of these vulnerable children.
The CCS student body also sponsors a child through Compassion International, contributing to programs that provide food, water, healthcare, education, and spiritual growth for children in impoverished communities. The sponsorship rotates; previously, the school supported a child from Thailand and currently sponsors a boy from Kenya.
At every grade level, students participate in projects designed to foster kindness, generosity, and community engagement:
The entire CCS community has engaged in reactive kindness outreach, including two kindness challenges in cooperation with ThinkKindness.org. The challenges encourage students to perform as many random acts of kindness as possible over 15 days. One remarkable achievement was collecting 500 pairs of shoes to send to children in Africa, helping them attend school comfortably.
When devastating wildfires ravaged Northern California, destroying schools and libraries, our students responded with compassion by donating books to replenish lost collections. This response demonstrates the community’s heart to rally and serve those affected by crises.
At Campbell Christian Schools, service is not a one-time event but a way of life. Through participation in these service projects, students develop empathy, leadership, and a deeper understanding of God’s call to love and serve others. Our service programs prepare students to be citizens of the world who actively make a positive difference wherever they go.
We invite families to partner with us in this mission of developing servant-hearted leaders. Together, we cultivate a culture where students grow spiritually, socially, and emotionally alongside academic excellence.
