After-School Program

Providing Safe, Engaging Care Before and After School

Campbell Christian Schools offers comprehensive Extended Care programs designed to support families by providing nurturing care and enriching activities before and after the regular school day. Our programs are tailored to meet the varying needs of children from Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 5th grade with age-appropriate supervision and engaging activities fostering social, academic, and physical growth.

Extended Care Program Overview

Morning Extended Care

Begins daily at 7:00 AM with supervised open gym, where students enjoy active, safe play.
At 7:55 AM, a teacher leads students in the Flag Salute and Morning Prayer, offering a reflective and community-building start to the day before classes begin.

Afternoon Extended Care

Our after-school care runs from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday through Thursday, with a slightly earlier start time on Fridays at 2:00 PM, accommodating early dismissal.

With the addition of Transitional Kindergarten, the Extended Care program is now split into two cohorts to best serve student needs:

- TK-1 Cohort and
- Grades 2-5 Cohort

This division allows for developmentally appropriate care and activities tailored to each age group.

Daily Afternoon Schedule (Monday - Thursday)

For Transitional Kindergarten and 1st Grade Students

2:55 – 3:15 PM: Pick-up and Snack Time (snack provided by CCS)
3:15 – 4:00 PM: Outdoor Free Time to expend energy and socialize
4:00 – 5:00 PM: Kids’ Choice—students select from various play centers, encouraging autonomy and creative play
5:00 – 6:00 PM: Free Play for relaxed socializing and activities

For Grades 2-5 Students

2:55 – 3:15 PM: Pick-up and Snack Time (snack provided by CCS)
3:15 – 4:00 PM: Outdoor Free Time
4:00 – 4:30 PM: Homework Time, giving students structured support for assignments
4:30 – 5:30 PM: Kids’ Choice play centers
5:30 – 6:00 PM: Free Play

Note: On Fridays, all students enjoy gym games and activities, replacing the regular schedule, promoting fun and active community engagement.

Students have flexibility to switch electives between sessions, encouraging exploration and well-rounded experience.

Flexible and Family-Friendly Plans

Extended Care plans cover every day that school is in session—including minimum days except for the last day of school—with monthly fees based on chosen hours and attendance days.

Morning care starting as early as 7:00 AM

Afternoon care ending as late as 6:00 PM

Part-time options available for selected days of the week

Drop-in care for occasional needs available at hourly rates
